On March 30, 2026, the Council of University of Zakho held a special meeting to discuss the initiation of the online learning process.

Following comprehensive discussions, the Council resolved that, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University will adopt the necessary mechanisms to effectively administer and advance the online learning system.

Subsequently, a number of new decisions were issued regarding the organization and continuity of the academic process. Most notably, a high-level specialized committee has been established to coordinate, supervise, and ensure the sustained implementation of online learning across the University.
